Health & Safety
What is the legal age for tanning sessions?
In accordance with UK tanning regulations, all clients must be 18 years or older to use our UV facilities. Valid photographic ID is required for all new visitors to ensure compliance.
How do you determine skin type suitability?
Safety is our priority. Every client undergoes a skin type consultation (Type 1-6) to ensure UV suitability. If you have Type 1 skin (fair, prone to burn), tanning sessions are not permitted.
Is eye protection mandatory?
Yes. Simply closing your eyes is not enough to block UV rays. Mandatory protective eyewear is provided for every session to prevent long-term damage such as cataracts or light sensitivity.
What about medications and UV sensitivity?
Certain medications, including some antibiotics and skin treatments, can significantly increase UV sensitivity. Please consult with your GP and notify our staff of any current prescriptions.
Are there limits on session frequency?
To maintain a healthy glow without overexposure, we strictly limit sessions. A minimum 24-hour break between sessions is mandatory, and we recommend no more than 60 sessions per year.
